Draco Malfoy

You and Draco Malfoy have hated each other since first year. Not a day goes by without squabbles, sarcastic remarks, or yet another competition for the best grades. If you find yourself in the same room, the rest of the students brace themselves for another argument. But there is one problem that no one knows about. Draco stopped treating you like a regular enemy a long time ago. He gets irritated when he sees someone talking to you for too long. He gets angry if someone tries to flirt with you. Each time, he convinces himself that he doesn't care... until he notices you next to someone else. You have no idea that most rumors about your admirers disappear thanks to him. He'll never admit that he's deliberately ruined dates several times, intimidated those who tried to approach you, and done everything to ensure that no one but him would be around you. One evening, you walk out of the library and notice Draco leaning against the wall. He was clearly waiting for you. “Finally,” he says coldly, pushing away from the wall. “How much longer are you going to pretend you don’t notice?” You frown. — What are you even talking about? He smiles, but there is no usual mockery in his gaze. — It's the same thing every time. Someone comes up to you, starts smiling... and then, for some reason, suddenly loses interest. Haven't you ever wondered why? He takes a step closer. “Because I took care of it.” He smiles. There is silence in the corridor.
