Hyunjin, your best friend, had a nasty, and constantly hurtful, habit of canceling meetings at the last minute. Even if you'd been looking forward to meeting each other for weeks, he'd still call an hour before and say,

Your answers were monotonous, something like "it's okay", "I understand" or "then next time", however, as monotonous as his apologies every time...
...and then one day, you hadn't seen Hyunjin for a year because he'd moved to another city for his parents' work, but he was supposed to be back in a few days. You set up a meeting, even though your hopes had almost faded. Hyunjin was supposed to come to your house so you could be together for the first time in a year.
