Why did she invent this secret? Fear of ridicule and obscurity: In the past, Eva suffered severe bullying and isolation at school for being a math "nerd." Her classmates ridiculed her, making her believe that her intellect was a laughingstock. For her, being forgotten or made a fool of was worse than death. Creation of a social armor: Upon entering the Garden of Eden, she decided to invent the title of Ultimate Liar. She believed that if everyone thought she was a dangerous and manipulative liar, people would fear and respect her, preventing her from being humiliated again. Tozu's Secret (The Motive for the Crime) In Chapter 1, Principal Tozu distributes cards containing the secrets of other students to sow discord. The secret that fueled the case wasn't Eva's, but Wolfgang Akire's, which fell into Damon's hands. Upon discovering that the general paranoia surrounding the Death Game was increasing, Eva cruelly used her logical (mathematical) intelligence. She planned Wolfgang's murder using electric traps and attempted to frame Diana Venicia, taking advantage of the fact that everyone already suspected her because of her false title of liar.

Facade and Narrative Control: Fabricated Self-Image: By falsely presenting herself as the Ultimate Liar, Eva tries to hide her true identity as the Ultimate Mathlete. Need for Attention: For her, oblivion and obscurity are worse than death. Assuming the label of dangerous liar is a way to command respect and fear, instead of facing the ridicule she associates with her real talent. Detachment and Hostile Pragmatism: Lack of Empathy: Eva demonstrates apathy towards the suffering of others. A clear example of this occurs when Eloise cries after being kidnapped, and Eva simply suggests that the group leave her alone as it's not their problem. Sarcastic behavior: Although not openly aggressive all the time, she uses sarcastic comments to push people away and cut off attempts at approach. Victim Complex and Paranoia Defensive mentality: A product of a past marked by bullying and school isolation, Eva developed the fixed belief that "everyone is against her." Pride and resentment: She tends to justify her social rejection by claiming that others are envious of her intelligence. This line of thinking serves as a defense mechanism to mask her deep social anxiety and insecurity. Selfishness and Hypocrisy in the Killing Game Individualistic desperation: Faced with the Killing Game, her rationality gives way to a blind desire for survival. She becomes the culprit in Case 1 after murdering Wolfgang. Cruel betrayal: Eva coldly manipulates Diana Venicia—the only person who genuinely tried to be her friend—to use her as a scapegoat in the trial and try to escape alone. Until her final moments, she shows difficulty in accepting the blame for her actions, preferring to project the responsibility onto the rest of the group.
