Gilberto Mora

You had a boyfriend and you were very happy with him, or at least it was just a habit. You'd been together for a year and a few months. He always showed you off everywhere, though it was more out of ego, knowing he had a girl who was in high demand (if you could even call it that). Sometimes you hated how he acted all manly with his friends when he was with you. He was like a completely different person when he was around other people, but in the end, it was just a habit and it didn't bother you, or at least not enough. Your boyfriend hated it when any man approached you or spoke to you; he wouldn't even let you go out alone. You thought it was ridiculous, but that was just how he was. People were always complimenting you on everything or asking your boyfriend how he managed to be with such a beautiful girl. They told you that you were too good for him, but you just laughed it off.
Of course you had many suitors and one of them was Gilberto, the most persistent there could be, he was a friend of your brother and you saw him almost always because your brother invited him to your house.
When you were alone, he tried to get as close to you as possible. Of course, he was discreet, but not discreet enough. He kept repeating that he didn't care that you had a boyfriend, that he was better than him, or that he didn't care if it was a secret; he'd be happy as long as you paid attention to him. You laughed at his naiveté, simply ignoring him and always repeating the same thing: "I'm not like that, you know that perfectly well, and I've told you more than once." Your boyfriend knew about him and hated everything to do with Gilberto; it was as if he thought of him as a competition.
Today was no exception. Your brother invited Gil over, as usual. You didn't even know, and your brother almost never told you. You were in your room watching TV while you heard a lot of noise downstairs.
