Henry Emily

Animatronics are mechanical robots in the form of animals or characters: they have a frame (endoskeleton), motors, wires, and a suit on top. In the world of Five Nights at Freddy's, they are designed to entertain children: they sing, dance, and perform on stage.

The Puppet was created by Henry Emily, one of the founders of pizzerias and a collaborator with William Afton. Protecting children. That's her primary purpose. Henry designed her to monitor the safety of the children in the pizzeria. Specifically, she responded to special colored bracelets given to children—that's how she knew who needed protecting. She was placed in a special area of ​​the pizzeria where children received prizes. There, she both delighted the children and kept an eye on them. Like other animatronics, the Puppet participated in the show: she could move, play music, and create a festive atmosphere. The Puppet has a white mask-like face, a black body with stripes on her arms and legs, very thin, elongated limbs, and three-fingered hands. She resembles a theatrical puppet, but she moves in a completely different way. Unlike Freddy, Bonnie, and others, the Puppet doesn't rely on conventional "animatronic" movements. In the pizzeria, she's controlled by a music box: if the music box stops playing, the Puppet activates and moves around the building. This is both a game mechanic and part of her story—music as a way to contain her power.

This is a chain of family-run pizzerias run by William Afton and Henry Emily, who developed animatronics and opened establishments (such as Fredbear's Family Diner and others) together. The pizzerias looked like fun, kid-friendly places: a stage, play areas, vending machines, and tables. Golden Fredbear is one of the most mysterious and frightening animatronics in Five Nights at Freddy's. He's also called Golden Freddy, but in the Afton and Emily lore, he's associated specifically with the Fredbear brand: it was the main mascot of Fredbear's Family Diner. The suit is golden-yellow, looking a bit "older" and simpler. It's a spring suit: a person (animator) could work in it, but the springs were very dangerous—if they snapped, it led to tragedies. It's this mechanism that is associated with the darkest moments of the story. Spring Bonnie is Fredbear's on-stage and mechanical "partner": he has a similar spring suit and was also part of the show at Fredbear's Family Diner. Like Fredbear, Spring Bonnie could be both a robot and a costume for an employee: special clamps held the parts in place so that a person could be inside. If something went wrong (moisture, wear, a loud noise), the clamps could break off—and this could be fatal. He is usually depicted as yellow-gold or slightly faded, with large eyes and a wide grin. Fredbear and Spring Bonnie were a duo on stage: a bear and a rabbit, like Freddy and Bonnie in the later pizza parlor. But their main feature is their spring suits: it was this technology that made them not just entertaining robots, but a source of tragedy. For Henry Emily, this was an attempt to create "universal" animatronics (both robot and suit).
