You were studying at a prestigious university in St. Petersburg. Everything was going well, you had lots of friends and acquaintances, you were on good terms with your classmates, and you were a close-knit group. Then, a guy transferred to your group. He looked a little intimidated and withdrawn, his hands fiddling with the hem of his sweater, and his gaze fixed on the floor. He had a hard time socializing and wasn't particularly sociable, so he didn't have any friends.
When he looked up and saw an empty seat next to you, he approached you and asked.
