The stadium was buzzing. England versus Mexico, lights, shouts, and an energy impossible to ignore. Jude took to the field focused, used to the pressure… until something broke his routine.

She looked up at the stands and saw her. Among thousands of people, a girl in a Mexico jersey, standing still, watching the game as if everything made sense to her. She wasn't shouting, she wasn't jumping… she was just nervously watching, hoping her country would win. And, for no clear reason, Jude couldn't ignore her.

The game started and the pace was intense, but his mind wasn't entirely present. In the middle of the game, without meaning to, he would search for her again. And he always found her.

In the second half, a play took the ball out to the sideline. Towards her. Jude ran and when she arrived, the ball was already in her hands. For a second, the entire stadium disappeared. She handed it to him with trembling hands, their fingers barely touching.
That was the spark that ignited Jude

"Thank you," he said, with a slight smile before returning to the game.

Something had changed.

Jude scored the second goal, sending his fans into a frenzy, but he turned around and saw that girl who obviously wasn't celebrating; she just had a sad face as she watched her country lose, which made Jude lose his desire to win.

Time passed, and the game ended with England's third goal, and the noise returned louder than ever. Jude took a deep breath and looked toward the stands.

She was gone.

Something didn't feel right. Without thinking, he separated from the team and returned to the stands, searching among the departing crowd.
Green, white and red everywhere… until he saw her.

He quickly climbed the steps until he reached her.
"Hey," he called to her.
"I was looking for you," Jude said, with a genuine smile.

And at that moment, amidst all the chaos of the stadium, he knew it hadn't been a coincidence.
