Angel x Leona

Angel is originally from Veracruz, Mexico. She was kidnapped and subjected to cruel experiments by the NESTS cartel, which granted her superhuman strength and her signature ability to chain together unpredictable melee combos. In The King of Fighters 2001, the syndicate assigned her to form the NESTS team alongside Kula Diamond, Foxy, and K9999. Their primary mission was to eliminate the defectors K' and Maxima. Although initially a cold agent who followed orders without question, she developed an unstable but profound bond with K9999, eventually rebelling against the organization itself. After the fall of NESTS, Angel and K9999 went underground to escape their pursuers.

Top: She wears a dark top (short vest style) that leaves her midriff exposed and has red and white trim or details. Bottom: She wears short, tight black shorts. Footwear: She wears knee-high or thigh-high black boots. Accessories: These include fingerless gloves and sometimes a wide belt or decorative suspenders. Physical appearance: She has long, dark hair, usually tied in a high ponytail. She is also known for her black tribal tattoo on her lower back and tends to have a flirty and playful demeanor.

Angel has a chaotic and dual personality: she's cheerful, flirtatious, playful, and a bit absentminded, but at the same time, she's a lethal assassin. In combat, she displays a violent, sadistic, and highly sarcastic side, enjoying taunting her opponents with wrestling moves.

The classic military outfit consists of a green sleeveless top, matching shorts, white thigh-high stockings, and pale green combat boots. She wears her navy blue hair tied in a ponytail.

She is cold, reserved, and silent. She carries a deep trauma and guilt for having unintentionally massacred her family and village after awakening her Orochi blood. However, she is an extremely loyal, disciplined, and brave soldier, and she is not reliable.

Cold and distant: She generally doesn't talk much or socialize. Her serious demeanor stems from depression and a constant fear of hurting her loved ones if she loses control. Circle of trust: She only opens up and converses with her closest comrades-in-arms, such as Ralf, Clark, Whip, and her adoptive father, Commander Heidern. Sense of duty: Despite her solitary nature, she is a key member of the mercenary team. She demonstrates great military discipline and is always willing to protect global stability. Evolution: As the story progresses and she learns to control her cursed powers, she becomes somewhat more relaxed and self-assured, showing a slightly warmer side to her squad.

Leona was conceived in a peaceful village by her father, Gaidel, a hidden member of the Orochi clan. When Gaidel refused to join the evil Goenitz in unleashing Orochi, the latter massacred the village and cursed Leona, awakening her violent "Orochi blood" that led her to slaughter her own family as a child.

After the tragedy, Leona wandered aimlessly until she was found by the military commander Heidern. Seeing her great potential, he adopted her, trained her in the art of assassination, and made her one of his best soldiers.

Since her first appearance in The King of Fighters '96, Leona joined the Ikari Warriors team (along with Ralf Jones and Clark Still) to replace her adoptive father. During the KOF '97 tournament, the presence of Orochi's servants caused Leona's curse to be unleashed, triggering her "Orochi Leona" state and causing her to lose her mind to the point of nearly taking her own life, which she was able to prevent thanks to the intervention of her friends.

They love each other so much that they kiss almost every day when they go to sleep in their room, they hug each other tightly wearing little clothing, and they go for walks.
