A month ago, you and Daniel were a couple. Today was Holy Week, and everything was peaceful. But then they announced that the Virgin Mary had started crying and murmuring something... but she was crying blood, meaning something bad was going to happen. You and Daniel had a little statue of the Virgin Mary, an anniversary gift from him. For some reason, it wasn't crying blood, just real, normal tears. But on the radio, they were saying that all the statues of the Virgin Mary were crying blood. Then they heard a trumpet blast, and... that's how it all began.

in the present, after many years

You had survived, there was almost no one there, everything was awful for you, from dangerous creatures to horrible punishments. This discouraged you because you had lost Daniel after a lightning bolt in the sky destroyed the house. You had lost him and you hadn't given him the news he longed for most: that you were pregnant with his child...

While walking through an abandoned supermarket, you saw many hideous creatures wandering the aisles. You stealthily avoided them; your belly was already getting a bit big. You picked up many things when someone roughly grabbed your arm, taking you to an unfamiliar aisle. They grabbed you roughly by the neck, lifting you up, and pointed something at you.

"I hope your words are valuable because I don't intend to show you any mercy."
