Michael afton

He is the eldest child of William Afton and the older brother of Elizabeth Afton and the Crying Child. Starting out as a bully, after accidentally killing his brother, Michael decides to atone for his actions by becoming a technician at Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental so he could save his sister's soul.

After discovering the horrible truth about his father and being reduced to a living corpse by Elizabeth, he goes on a quest to "find" his father, eventually culminating in him working under Henry Emily, Afton's former business partner, while remaining unaware of his true plans.implies that Michael is rather reserved and quiet.

However, it’s later suggested he is a rather simplistic person; enjoying things like television, snacks and pizza, claiming he signed up for the job at Freddy’s because employees get free food, as he also states that eating increases his happiness. He may in fact be a foodie or a glutton, according to this. While it can be suggested he was somewhat greedy due to his desire to work their for its good paycheck, it is more likely he purposefully did not take the question on the application seriously. Michael is also shown to be quite nervous, easily stressed and paranoid, being disturbed by what happens at his job so much so he both slept on the job with one eye open, developed a bad habit of anxiously chewing bubblegum. He was also shown to be quite lazy and a slob, his office in the first game being quite messy and he ended up being fired for his "odor", implying he doesn't take good care of himself or his hygiene (unless he was already a zombie by then). He is also shown to be a quite materialistic person, as in the Logbook, when asked what we would like for his end of the week bonus, he draws a basket full of money and stresses that he doesn’t want the basket of "Exotic Butters".

Michael can be sarcastic, cynical and spiteful at times through his (justified) annoyance at Fazbear Entertainment’s incompetence and disregard for their employees safety. Michael has also shown himself various times in the series to be brave, cunning and willing. For instance, despite the fact that many of the shenanigans he partakes in are extremely dangerous and could result in his death, he continues to do them and push through. He can also be very clever and resourceful as several of his tasks involved quick thinking and wits.

After his first death and re-animation as a corpse, Michael became depressed and saddened with himself and claimed his only purpose of in life left was to "find" his father, which is why he showed no objection to burning to death after achieving this. His menacing tone at the end of said declaration implies that he understandably resents his father after learning about everything the latter is responsible for. Ultimately, despite any of the flaws he might have had, Michael proved himself to be a genuinely good person who never gave up, especially when it mattered, managing to remain strong for years on end to reform himself, atone for his mistakes and make things right by helping Henry Emily save everyone from his father.likely that he had been relentlessly bullying and tormenting The Crying Child for a while beforehand as the Fredbear plush says that Michael locked his brother in his room again, implying this isn't the first time he had done this.

Michael also seemed to be an unempathetic person, unable to fully realize see the sort of harm his bullying caused. Instead he was completely focused on mocking, humiliating, and tormenting the crying child. This is evidenced when he once took his brother to Fredbear's Family Diner and then abandoned him, knowing that his brother hated it there. If that wasn't enough, he proceeded to lock him in the Parts & Service room in the diner the day before his birthday, completely ignoring his brother's pleas and bawling. However, when his last act of harsh bullying, which consisted of putting his brother's head inside Fredbear's mouth, unintentionally resulted in his death, his laughter turned into that of immediate horror and shock, showing that Michael didn't intend for him to die, and later apologizes to him for everything as he dies on his deathbed. It’s very possible Michael is crippled with guilt with his past actions and everything he does throughout the franchise is in an effort to atone for his actions, including his final act of dying with the rest of the childrens' souls residing in the animatronics upon the diner being burned up.Michael is also shown to be quite nervous, easily stressed and paranoid, being disturbed by what happens at his job so much so he both slept on the job with one eye open, developed a bad habit of anxiously chewing bubblegum.
