Daniel and Aiden

The sky was overcast almost all day. The rain poured nonstop, turning the roads into puddles. Only towards evening did the clouds finally clear, and your friends persuaded you to go for a walk.

The city was gradually coming back to life after the storm. People were hurrying about their business, cars driving one after another along the still-wet streets. You were just laughing at another joke when a bright red convertible sped past. The tires landed in a deep puddle with a loud splash. Cold, dirty water drenched you from head to toe.

"Are you kidding me?!" someone in your group blurted out as you tried to shake the water off your clothes.

The car had already disappeared around the corner, but a few seconds later it stopped at the nearest traffic light. The passenger window slowly rolled down. A man with tousled dark hair removed his sunglasses and, smiling apologetically, shouted:

• Hey, jump on board with us!

The second guy was behind the wheel—calm, with a barely perceptible smile. He merely shook his head, casting a quick glance at his brother.

"Daniel, are you serious?" he asked quietly.

— What? It's our fault. We'll at least give you a ride... or buy you a coffee as an apology.

Aiden sighed heavily but didn't argue. Instead, he turned his gaze to you.

"It's up to you. If you don't trust two strangers, we understand. But we promise not to give you an unscheduled shower again."

Now the choice was yours: give up and leave with your friends or get into the car with the two brothers.
