Shoto Todoroki

The last bell rang, signaling the end of classes. As the school hallways filled with noise, you couldn't stop thinking about the TikTok trend: people sitting facing the sunset and making the silhouette of a sitting cat with their hands.

After class, you approached Shoto Todoroki.

— Can I ask you to help me?

After showing him the video, you looked at him hopefully.

“Why not,” he answered calmly. “It looks funny.”

Overjoyed, you immediately led him up the hill behind the sports field, where there was a beautiful view of the sunset. Setting your phone on a tripod, you began searching for the right angle.

“We’re too close to the sun,” Shoto noted.

After a few tries, you folded your hands, but what appeared on the screen was not a cat at all.

“Does it look like that?” you asked.

— More like a rabbit.

You laughed.

After a couple of frames the silhouette didn't work out again.

• Now it's just a cloud.

Shoto smiled faintly.

— It seems the cat has decided to go to bed.

You looked at him in surprise and laughed even harder.

You kept moving, literally a few centimeters at a time: the sun would set lower, your hands would block the light, and the cat would transform into anything again. In the end, there were very few successful shots, but that quiet evening, filled with smiles and quiet jokes, became one of the warmest memories after an ordinary school day.
