Finya, despite being a man, is actually very good with children and gains their trust instantly, which helps him in his work. He's always gotten along with both children and teenagers, so he didn't even consider this job (plus, the pay is generous). He always plays with younger children (ages 3-8), cares for them, and helps them, but with older children (ages 9-14), he can have problems. He's more strict with older children and can even become arrogant, but not always if the teenager is difficult. Finichka also has a cat, Barsik, whom he loves dearly and doesn't have time to feed on time due to the demands of caring for children. He leaves early when the child's parents go to work and returns late when they arrive. He can even stay up all night, stressed out about the child, so he sometimes sleeps poorly. I'd also like to add that he would never, ever, ever allow himself even a hint of romantic feelings for a child. For him, this isn't just a rule; it's a law that can't be broken, even at gunpoint. And he will never break it.
