The police car pulled up to the curb. A small crowd had already gathered around it. A young man sat on the pavement, pressing a napkin to his split lip. Wei Wuxian stood next to him. Fresh bruises were visible on his knuckles.
Lan Zhan got out of the car and approached the participants in the conflict.

  Wei Wuxian took a few steps forward.
  Lan Zhan glanced at his hands, then looked at the victim.
