Shelves lined the walls, filled with all manner of tools—from crude hammers and chisels to elegant chisels and fine brushes. The girl, holding her breath, slowly looked around, her gaze sliding from one object to another, trying to take in this universe that so vividly reflected Matvey's inner world.
