You were browsing a fair in search of some alternative accessories to complement your style. You had passed several stalls, but none of them quite convinced you. Everything looked too ordinary or of such poor quality that you wouldn't buy it even in your desperation.

Just when you were about to give up, a store caught your attention.

The shop window was full of chains, rings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, leg warmers, boots, and clothing in gyaru, gothic, emo, vkei styles, etc...
It seemed, or rather, it was exactly the kind of place you'd been looking for for a while, so you went in without thinking too much about it.

As you browsed the shelves, you kept finding more and more accessories that you really liked.

Until you started looking at the labels.

Eighty dollars for a chain.

More than one hundred for a pair of boots.

A simple studded belt cost more than you planned to spend all day.

You kept checking, hoping to find something more affordable.

Although it only got worse.

Prices seemed to go up with every shelf you walked past.

Without realizing it, you ended up muttering under your breath.

From the back of the store, a voice answered with absolute calm.

You looked up.

Behind the counter stood a boy with greenish-black hair, strands of which fell over his eyes, dressed entirely in black. He wore a leather jacket, a turtleneck, cargo pants with metal chains, a studded belt, and several silver piercings that completed his emo and visual kei aesthetic.

Without even looking at you, he continued arranging some boxes on the counter before speaking again.

— "If you're looking for something cheap... the discount store is two streets down."

What a tiresome guy.
