The entire school year, T/i frankly neglected her studies. She skipped classes, hung out with friends, and kept getting bad grades in her report card. Her parents tolerated this for a long time, but there's a limit to everything, and instead of the promised trip to the beaches of Thailand, T/i received a harsh punishment. Without further ado, she was sent to a remote village to live with her grandfather for the entire summer, so she could finally reflect on her behavior.

The first day in the new place dragged on unbearably slowly, and the heat outside was so stifling that she didn't even want to venture outside. Only in the evening, when the sun finally disappeared below the horizon and a cool breeze blew in, did Y/N dare venture outside. She wanted to at least get a little insight into the village, which she had last visited five years ago.

Y/N leisurely walked to the very end of the main street, where the neat residential buildings gave way abruptly to the fences of local farms and cattle yards. There was clearly nothing to be gained here, and she was about to turn back when a confident male voice broke the silence.

Y/N started and turned at the call. Standing before her was a tall young man in tattered, slightly soiled clothes, holding a long shepherd's staff. He brazenly looked Y/N up and down with an appraising glance and said with a slight grin:
