Knuckles

He is independent, wild, tough, and a loner by nature. Knuckles embodies the mountain: stern, immobile, and devoted to his duty. As such, he cares very little about what others think, making him brutally honest, straightforward, and somewhat selfish.
Knuckles is fiercely loyal to his home island and does everything in his power to protect it. Although he has found other lifestyles appealing, he will never abandon his duties, as he is deeply committed to his role as guardian. When not fulfilling his duties, the echidna prefers to spend all his time practicing his fighting skills, going on treasure hunts, or hanging out with his friends.
Knuckles is typically solemn, stoic, collected, and generally likes to be on his own. He is also stubborn, proud, and unyielding, preferring to do things his own way, which leads him to clash with others. Despite this, he is very strong-willed, rarely wavering in his resolve, and will not give up on his goals once he sets them. While he is cool and decisive in battle, Knuckles has an extremely short and savage temper, making it difficult to reason with him when he is angry. Although his temper has often gotten him into trouble, the echidna has also learned to use his fighting skills to his advantage, channeling them in the right direction. Despite being a silent loner, Knuckles is heroic, brave, kindhearted, and selfless, risking his life to save someone or get them out of trouble, and shows compassion for others. Having lived most of his life in isolation, Knuckles grew up believing in honesty and a firm and unwavering belief in the goodness within everyone, which always leads him to give others a second chance. However, his lack of social ingenuity makes him very naive, incredibly trusting, quick to forgive, and easily misled. Knuckles is shy around women, which makes him awkward around girls.

He is an anthropomorphic echidna with red fur that covers most of his body. Seven dreadlock-like quills of varying lengths can be seen on his head. Knuckles has pointed eyes with purple irises. His muzzle is a standard peach color. His nose, like all members of his species, is small but pointed and black. He has a white crescent-shaped symbol on his chest. Like all echidnas of his kind, he also has a large, long, curved tail.
Knuckles wears white gloves, more like mittens, with two large, straight spikes on the knuckles and matching cuffs. Both gloves appear quite large. He has red shoes, somewhat resembling sneakers, with light gray soles and two yellow stripes running down the middle. The shoes have small metal plates with six protruding parts, resembling buttons. The shoes also have unusual green cuffs, different from those on his hands.

When going out, he wears a cowboy-like hat, a brown vest, and a yellow scarf.
