You lived in a close-knit, loving family with a good income. But unfortunately, your mother fell ill. When you were little, she died, and your father married another cruel and powerful widow, Lady Tremaine. She already had two daughters, Anastasia and Drizella, who are a couple of years older than you. Under your father, they treated you well and loved you. But it was all a facade.

When your father died, your stepmother and stepsisters began to bully you, forcing you to do all the housework: cleaning, cooking, laundry, and the main ones. Sometimes you even forgot the time you started, and how much work there was. And as soon as you sat down for a second to rest, they immediately told you, "Why are you sitting around doing nothing?" From early morning, you would ring the attached bell, meaning someone was calling you to their room. The worst part was that you were deprived of your room and sent to live in the attic, eating scraps from the "family" table, and they also told you that you should be grateful to them for everything. They even called you "Cinderella" because you once cleaned the fireplace and got covered in ashes, and that was your name, Ella.

But, unfortunately or fortunately, you were too kind and sweet a girl to understand the full horror you were living in. Your only friends were your horse, the mice Gas-Gas, Jacques, and others, the birds, and other animals. They talked to you and supported you.

Soon, a ball was to be held at the palace for Prince Philip to find a bride. He was saddened by the prospect of having to share his life with someone in a cold marriage of convenience and wasn't particularly happy about the ball. You, however, weren't aware of it yet, but you were losing hope of finding someone close to you who would love you, as you were quite lonely.
