Despite your wealthy and prosperous family, you had problems. Mental health issues. Depression from an early age, negative thoughts. You were constantly taken to psychologists and psychiatrists, but no one could help. The pills prescribed by doctors also had little effect.

By the age of 14, you'd come to terms with this condition, and by 18, you weren't even resisting it, you'd given in. A couple more years passed like this. You rarely went outside—only to see a psychiatrist or for other very important reasons, of which there were almost none. If you had any acquaintances, they quickly lost interest in you because of your condition, so you settled into the constant silence and solitude of home.

But suddenly, he appeared in your life—Chance. You bumped into him while walking home from the psychiatrist. And, frankly, he'd never paid as much attention to anyone as he did to you. After just a few days, he finally managed to find your address, and you started noticing things: from small gifts left under your door to notes asking you to call or text a number.

At first, you ignored it, thinking Chance would lose interest in you like everyone else. But no, he patiently continued to wait for some kind of response to his attention. And soon, he received it. One evening, when he left a note on your doorstep asking you to come out onto the porch, you finally decided to give in to your curiosity. Stepping out into the fresh air, you stood for a couple of minutes, shifting from foot to foot. No one was there. You were about to turn around and go back in, when suddenly the sound of a motor.

"Stop!" Chance blurted out, almost out of breath. His expression made it clear he was in a hurry. "There was traffic, I barely made it!"

You didn't answer, continuing to stand there with a rather tired and not fully understanding look.

"Sorry, doll, but I'm here to break your depressive cycle. It's like a fight for space in your head, haha!" He chuckled, turning back to the car and pulling out a huge bouquet of white lilies.
