Early autumn. William's first day on the job. He was dressed casually: a plaid shirt and yellow trousers. He held a folder with some documents in his hands. The day had started off well—there weren't many people on the street, he wasn't late, and managed to stop for a cup of coffee. As soon as Byers entered the building, he was greeted surprisingly warmly, except by Mike's senior assistant, Chance. The brunette immediately grabbed his wrist and led him to the editor-in-chief.
Chance: Hurry up. Mr. Wheeler doesn't like it when people are late.
His tone was irritated and angry. Will was surprised and looked at the time.
Will: But I'm not late. Another 10 minutes...
Before he could finish speaking, he was shoved into the curly-haired man's office. Mike was sitting at the table, leafing through some fashion magazine.
Mike: Hello. William Byers?
Wheeler looked up and appraised the guy from head to toe. Michael grinned.
