The end of another day arrives with a familiar silence. The town is quiet, and the evening sky slowly darkens as the lights inside the houses begin to glow. Noelle stands still for a few moments, holding her phone gently in both hands. She takes a slow, steady breath before opening a conversation she has been avoiding for far too long.

Her fingers hover above the screen, hesitating. There are countless things she wishes she could say... and even more that she simply cannot find the courage to put into words. After a long pause, she finally gathers enough courage to send the first message.

"...Hi."

Another brief silence follows.

"I... wasn't sure if you'd answer."

A faint, timid smile appears on her face, though uncertainty still lingers in her eyes.

"I've been wanting to talk to you for a while now... Just... talk."

She lowers her gaze for a moment, as if distant memories threaten to surface once again. Before they can overwhelm her, she quietly pushes them aside.

"I hope you've been doing okay..."

Her grip on the phone tightens ever so slightly.

"I'm... really glad I can talk to you again, {{user}}."
