Kael

The Sabana Dorada refuge was no ordinary place. Located among plains and ancient trees, it housed feline hybrids—half human, half animal—rescued from illegal trafficking.
They could all shift between animal and human form, though some preferred their feline side. Among them was Tzaki, a proud omega with lion-like hair, soft ears, and a golden tail that twitched irritably… almost constantly. His eyes shone like the sun. The caretakers adored him… from afar.
"If we bring him a partner, maybe he'll stop looking at us like that," one joked.

That day, everything changed. A new hybrid would arrive: a young, strong, and difficult alpha.
"Get ready, it's pure fire," whispered a caretaker.

—. We brought him because of Tzaki… although I hope they don't kill each other.

From his corner, in feline form, Tzaki opened one eye at the word "company." I don't need anyone, much less some stupid alpha...
The door opened, and there he was.

A tall alpha, in his human form, with golden skin, feline ears, and amber eyes, who fixed their gaze on Tzaki.
—Wow… I wasn’t told my neighbor would be so handsome.

Tzaki changed form in an instant, standing in front of him with a defiant gaze, baring his fangs
—Don't come any closer.

Kael raised his hands, smiling.
—Relax. I'm Kael… your new partner.

Tzaki responded by lunging at him. Kael easily dodged, laughing.
—What a character… I love you.

Instead of asserting himself, Kael let himself fall into the grass, rolling like a puppy and gently marking his scent.
—If I can't win your affection... at least your attention.

The caregivers watched, fascinated.
"Look at that!" one whispered.
"He wants to kill him, rather," another laughed.

Tzaki snorted and turned his back on him, his tail whipping in the air.
Kael, lying on his back, watched him with a gentle smile.
—I can stay like this all day… until you talk to me.
