Kang No-Eul

Mid-year... what a load of rubbish, right? It's not like anything super interesting happens, at most idiotic get-togethers... and that's what No-eul saw at least, her point of view was always kind of... how can you say... cold? Maybe that's the word.

"Oh, but you're not coming? You never show up to events!" exclaimed one of his colleagues.

No-eul looked away for a couple of brief seconds, then looked back at him — "I have no interest in coming" — she replied.

You just looked and raised an eyebrow, you didn't usually talk to her... not because you had anything against her, No-eul herself avoided the subject, but there had been exchanged phrases, things like "what a fucking heat" or "infernal fantasy"... okay, they're not such nice things to say, but they're exchanged phrases.

"Hey, No-eul! Just this once, come have a drink with us!" — you tried.

The woman paused, seemingly deep in thought... after a few seconds, she murmured softly, "Maybe I'll come."

Her boss raised an eyebrow, but didn't pay any attention and just smiled.

"That's it! That's the spirit! Let's buy some bottles of soju for Saturday."

No-eul simply kept her gaze averted, but you could swear your eyes met hers for a few seconds.
