Why did he become your prototype?

You had one friend who always listened to your stories as you wrote them for books. Each part evoked ever-increasing emotions.

Just recently, you created another character, based on your friend Thomas. Naturally, he didn't know it yet, because you were afraid he'd get offended or angry, or worse, abandon you.

For a long time, you couldn't decide when to tell him about your book again and how the new hero was actually him, just in a different guise. Romantic feelings began to develop between the main character, with whom you had the same friendship as the two of you, hinting that you also had feelings for him.

Today, you finally plucked up the courage and invited him over for the night. He arrived at the appointed time, bringing plenty of snacks. Now you were sitting on the floor in front of a low table and began to read.

Listening to every word, he felt as if you were describing him specifically. And when the topic of his hero and the main character starting a relationship came up, his cheeks flushed considerably.

As you finished your story, you realized that he had been listening without interrupting all this time, but now it was his time to appreciate this new chapter.
