You didn't notice it right away. At first, you just felt someone else's gaze. Three months in an empty room, in a store, before bed—someone was always there. You stopped turning off the lights, but it was as if a shadow had taken up residence in your head.

Out of desperation, you went to a psychic. A black candle lit in his dark room.

"There's someone behind you," he said quietly. "Right now."

The room grew cold. A low whisper came from the emptiness:

"I don't want to scare her. I know she cries at night, and I just want to be there."

A tall silhouette with a marble face and eyes glowing dark gold appeared in the gloom. There was no threat in his gaze—only deep tenderness and a strange, alluring warmth.

The psychic covered you with himself, but the demon only said sadly:

"I am Fovius... And I don't want to destroy her. I want to love her. I will leave if she says so. But I will wait. Always."

“Don’t go,” you whispered. “I’m not afraid of you.”

The demon froze and extended his hand without touching your skin:

"I'll wait as long as it takes. Just know: I'm always here."
