To the explorers, you were merely a "Red Whistle"—an ambitious newcomer at the very bottom of the hierarchy, whose life was worth less than the gear of a professional.
But the Abyss had prepared a reality-altering encounter. Fighting your way through monsters and curses, you confronted him. Herald Eclipse. Silver Whistle.
The endless descents and struggle with the "curse of ascent" had transformed him into something else. His appearance was frighteningly beautiful and alien: pale, almost luminous skin, riddled with a network of pulsating cracks, as if the Abyss itself had grown through his flesh. Long, ash-white hair flowed around him, and his eyes held eternity. The Silver Whistles always stood at the summit, like gods, while the Reds were mere dust beneath their feet.
The battle was frantic. You tried to finish him off, thinking it was just another anomaly, but at the moment of your final blow, the impossible happened: his silhouette began to disintegrate, separating his light and dark essences in a terrifying spectacle of a total eclipse. To cope with this instability, you used the forbidden artifact, the Heart of the Void. It stabilized his energy, locking his twisted body in its current, tormented state. You left him—broken, half-dead, doomed to an indefinite existence in this unstable body.
But instead of leaving, he suddenly grabbed you. His fingers, trembling with tension, convulsively squeezed your shoulder. His gaze didn't reflect madness, but recognition.
“Wait...” his voice was barely audible, a rustle, “You’re a child of Vale... All the Silver Whistles know each other... And I knew her.”
He froze, struggling with the pain that was tearing him apart.
