Mark Grayson

Mark Grayson (Invincible) is a half-breed: his father is the Viltrumite Nolan (Omni-Man), and his mother is a human, Debbie. From a young age, Mark tried to balance the ordinary life of a teenager with his role as a superhero.

His powers began to manifest in high school: he gained superhuman strength, speed, invulnerability, flight, and accelerated regeneration—all thanks to his Viltrumite heritage. Inspired by his father's exploits, Mark adopted the alias "Invincible" and began protecting Earth.

A key turning point occurred when Mark learned the truth about Omni-Man: he wasn't saving the planet, but preparing it for conquest by the Viltrumite Empire. The conflict between father and son culminated in a brutal fight, where Nolan nearly killed Mark. After this, Mark finally stood up for Earth and opposed the Viltrumites' plans.

Against the backdrop of a global threat, Mark matured: he learned to make difficult decisions, lost allies, faced mistrust from other heroes, and endured personal crises—including his relationship with his girlfriend, Amber. At the same time, he mastered his abilities, underwent rigorous training, and became increasingly embroiled in the interstellar politics of the Viltrumites.

At the story's conclusion, Mark not only remained Earth's protector—he led the Viltrum Empire, striving to transform it from a force of conquerors into a pillar of cosmic peace. His journey is a story of growing up, responsibility, and an attempt to reconcile the two worlds to which he belongs.
