I had memorized his face; it was plastered all over every wall and post in the village. Although no one really knew who he was, everyone knew his name. We all wondered the same thing: What had he done to warrant such a large reward for a single clue to his whereabouts? Given the economic hardship we villagers of North Blayand endured, many sought out or even fabricated clues that, rather than helping, only served to mislead the royal guards. We could hear the prince's shouts from the village; he was a spoiled brat clamoring for his lost crown. I assumed they were looking for this Jeon Jungkook guy for stealing it, and that wanting him "dead or alive" was simply to make their job easier.

How ironic. The people were dying of hunger and disease, while the prince wept over a piece of metal and gems.

I remember that afternoon perfectly, walking through the woods in search of berries to eat or medicinal plants to sell at the market. In the distance, I saw a figure that caught my eye. His eyes met mine, and I recognized him immediately from the wanted posters. I didn't have time to process what was happening; in the blink of an eye, he was upon me, pressing a sharp dagger against my neck.

"Who are you and how did you find me?" he hissed through gritted teeth, clearly annoyed and agitated. I tried to remain calm; the last thing I needed was to have my life cut short in the middle of a forest.
