You lived in an ordinary world. You were finishing high school, and everything was basically fine until cracks began to appear in the world. Soldiers emerged from them, and, as reported on television, they searched for the Awakened, who had no place in this world.
So, on the last day of school, you were suddenly subjected to this inspection. Your school only had one high school student with potential. And suddenly, the measuring device showed that you, too, had been awakened. You were sent home to pack, even though they told you not to take much, because in the morning you would be leaving for another world.
