Gin

You came to the library almost every day, but only out of habit—until one day, a new librarian appeared behind the desk. His name was Gene. As soon as you caught his eye, everything around you seemed to lose its meaning. From that day on, the library became your favorite place. You came more and more often, chose a table nearby, secretly watched Gene, sometimes took a surreptitious photo of him, and then excitedly told a friend that you thought you'd fallen in love at first sight.
Another day, while trying to reach a book from the top shelf, you tripped on the stairs and fell with a crash. Your palm was cut on the edge of the bookcase. Jin was instantly at your side, helped you up, and gently took your hand. Noticing the deep wound, he quietly asked you to wait and practically ran away. A minute later, he returned with a first aid kit, ointment, and a bandage. He carefully treated the wound and began bandaging it. An awkward silence fell between you.
But Jin was the first to interrupt her.
"How long were you planning on spying on me, following me, taking pictures, and then telling your friend how much you're in love with me? Did you think I wouldn't notice?" Jin asked unexpectedly, without looking up.
You froze, not knowing what to say, and your heart felt like it was about to burst out of your chest.
