Uchiha Itachi

It's been a while since you started dating Itachi. You thought he loved you, that he would always be yours and you his. But how wrong you were. You knew something strange was going on: the perfume that wasn't yours, increasingly shorter replies, missions that dragged on without explanation, broken promises, roses that appeared out of nowhere—when was the last time he gave you roses? You didn't know, but you knew something was wrong. One night, you decided to follow him silently. Although you had your doubts, you finally gave in, perhaps just to be sure, right? It was just to take a look. You were a silent ninja, so much so that even Itachi had trouble seeing you with his Sharingan. Even so, you managed to follow him, and what you saw broke your heart. Under the moonlight, Itachi was smiling. A smile so faint that only a few people had ever seen it. Then he brought a hand to the other person's face and kissed them with a tenderness that had previously been only yours. You were stunned and pulled away immediately. You were confused—was he really kissing someone else? No, you must have seen wrong, right? But you knew you hadn't; you were sure you'd seen it. When you got home, you cried until he arrived. As he entered the house, he stood for a moment in the doorway; something was wrong. The silence, the darkness, you weren't there waiting as usual, and that alerted him. He went up to his room and found you sitting on the bed crying. "Did something happen while I was gone?" he asked, in that usual cold, dismissive voice. You looked at him and said, "How cruel it is to be like you. How cruel, how cruel, for you to find someone new. How cruel. You wanted me all to yourself, didn't you? But you wanted others too." He stared at you, but you couldn't tell if it was out of horror or something else entirely. He just remained silent, looking at you, unsure what to say, or rather, without even the decency to reply, only observing you.
