Who is Alastor?

As I said, Alastor (aka Radio Demon) is one of the key characters in the animated series Hotel Hazbin, one of the strongest demon overlords in Hell. 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Background and biographical data: During his lifetime, Alastor was a radio host and serial killer, died in 1933, after which he went to Hell. There, he quickly grew in influence, overthrowing many of the old rulers and earning a reputation as an extremely dangerous and unpredictable demon. The nickname "Radio Demon" is due to both his past profession and the fact that his voice often sounds with characteristic radio interference, as if the broadcast is coming through an old receiver. 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Appearance: Alastor looks like a tall (approximately 213 cm) anthropomorphic demon with deer features: he has deer ears, sometimes fangs, and a wide smile on his face. The characteristic image is complemented by: a crimson jacket, black trousers, a black bow tie, shoes with hoof-like details. There are seams on the suit and even on the face - this is part of his demonic design. The voice is deliberately distorted to look like a "radio effect". 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Personality and communication style: He behaves like an old-fashioned, impeccably polite gentleman with the mannerisms of a 1930s announcer: he speaks exquisitely, smiles, and compliments. But behind this façade hides a sadist, manipulator and strategist who likes to watch other people's failures and suffering. Alastor loves to make deals because it gives him control and power. At the same time, he has peculiar "principles": for example, he is not inclined to seriously harm children. The style of communication is charming, but with a subtext: he is always calculating something and can offer "help" that actually serves his interests.

Addition to Who is Alastor?

Abilities:

  • Immortality and Resistance to Normal Damage - As a sinner, he does not age or die from natural causes.

  • Soul Manipulation and Deal-Making - Can amplify one's power through deals and influence other people's souls.

  • Magic and Space/Effect Control - Able to change the environment, create illusions, cause effects like a red aura, and put on spectacular power "shows".

  • Physical Strength and Combat Skills - Easily dispatches enemies that others consider a serious threat.

  • Radio broadcast – can project your voice over long distances, literally "broadcast" throughout Hell, increasing psychological pressure. 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Weaknesses:

  • Trade Addiction - If the terms of a trade are broken or it turns against him, it can limit his options.

  • Dislike of modern technology – he despises television and everything related to the "new age of media" (in particular, he is at odds with Vox), and this can be used against him.

Pride and the need for control – If someone openly challenges them or undermines their authority, they may act impulsively to restore status. 📻🎙️🦌🔴 What he likes and hates:

  • Likes: good manners and intelligence in interlocutors, theatricality, spectacle, "show", black humor and other people's failures, strong coffee, bitter taste, venison, "movie screenings" and dancing.

Hates touching and violating personal space, dogs, everything sweet and tea, technology after the 1930s, despondency and lack of style.

Mini Supplement to Who is Alastor?

Trivia: In the pilot, he offers to help Charlie with the Hazbin Hotel, but he doesn't do it out of altruism, but for fun and his own gain. He has a complicated relationship with the other Hell Lords and an open feud with Vox, symbolizing the confrontation between "radio" and "television". He takes care of some characters (for example, Niffty), which shows his ability to be a kind of loyalty if someone he likes. His image is inspired by the aesthetics of old radio, jazz and horror films of the 1930s.

Alastor's sexual orientation.

Alastor from "Hotel Hazbin" is asexual and aromatic (often called "aroeyes", from aromantic asexual). This is confirmed by the creator of the series Vivziepop, and there are also hints in the show itself - for example, Rosie's joke about "ace in the hole": the word ace here is both a "hidden trump card" and an abbreviation for asexual.

Alastor's Background.

Life before Hell: During his lifetime, Alastor was a radio host and lived in the era of the 1930s, which was strongly imprinted on his style, speech, and worldview. He hosted programs where he combined charm and theatricality, and over time, this "scene" became the most important thing for him: he liked to control the attention of the audience, keep the audience in suspense, and play on emotions. In parallel with his work on the radio, he led a double life: he was a serial killer. At the same time, he also turned the murders into a kind of performance - everything had to be spectacular, with a certain aesthetics and "staging". His behavior was dictated not so much by bloodlust as by a craving for control and admiration: he wanted to be talked about, feared, and discussed. Alastor died in 1933. The exact circumstances of the death are not revealed in the canon, but there are many fan theories around it, and the creator of Vivziepop herself leaves the details deliberately vague - to maintain an aura of mystery. 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Going to Hell and Rising to Power: Once in Hell, Alastor did not humbly accept his fate. On the contrary, he immediately took action: he used his manipulation skills, charisma, and newfound demonic powers to quickly climb the "hierarchy of Hell". He literally put on a bloody show: he overthrew the old Overlords, demonstrating his strength and ruthlessness, and at the same time broadcast all this on his "radio channel" to the whole of Hell. For him, it was both a form of intimidation and a form of entertainment - he enjoyed how his name became synonymous with fear. It was then that he was nicknamed "Radio Demon": his voice sounded everywhere, distorted by static, like an old radio broadcast.

A mini extension to Alastor's Backstory.

In a relatively short time, he had become one of the strongest Hell Lords. But then suddenly disappeared for seven years – this period is still a mystery. Some believe that he was forced to leave because of some kind of deal or threat, while others suggest that he simply "got tired of the stage" and went into the shadows, only to return later with a new plan. 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Charlie's return and "help": After a seven-year absence, Alastor appears at the door of the Hazbin Hotel, which Charlie Morningstar is trying to open. He offers his help, but not out of good intentions: he is bored, he is looking for new entertainment, and the idea of "redemption of sinners" seems so absurd to him that he wants to personally watch how everything collapses. At the same time, he is not just a spectator: he actively intervenes, brings his "wards" (Niffty and Husky) to the hotel, helps to fight off threats, but always on his own terms. His help is a deal, a game where he knows exactly what he will get in return.

Biography of Alastor.

Background:

  • Name: Alastor, nicknamed The Radio Demon.

  • Species: Demon Sinner, Radio Demon (a person who became a powerful demon in Hell).

  • Gender: male.

  • Height: approximately 213 cm.

  • Date of death: 1933.

  • Lifetime profession: radio presenter; At the same time, he is a serial killer.

  • Nationality/origin: American.

Creator: Vivienne Medrano (Vivziepop). 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Key stages of biography:

  1. Childhood and youth. The exact details of Alastor's childhood are not revealed in canon: Vivziepop intentionally leaves the early years hazy to preserve the mystery of the character. It is only known that his aesthetics, manners and speech were formed under the influence of the culture of the United States in the first half of the 20th century.

  2. Adult life and career on the radio. In the 1930s, Alastor became a popular radio host. He was distinguished by impeccable diction, old-fashioned politeness and the ability to keep the audience in suspense. He turned each program into a theatrical performance, where intonation, pauses and sound effects were important. It was then that he developed a craving for controlling people's attention, which later became the basis of his demonic power and style.

  3. Double life. In parallel with his work on the radio, Alastor committed murders, also building them as spectacular performances. For him, it was important not just to take life, but to create an "ideal scene": spectacular, stylish, memorable. This underscores his obsession with aesthetics and control.

  4. Death and Going to Hell (1933). Alastor died in 1933; The exact circumstances of death have not been confirmed. In canon, Vivziepop does not give an unambiguous answer, leaving room for interpretation.

  5. Ascent to Hell. Once in Hell, Alastor did not reconcile himself to the role of an ordinary sinner. He quickly began to use his charisma, manipulation skills, and newfound powers to change the hierarchy. In a short time, he overthrew many old Overlords by putting on bloody "shows" and broadcasting them on his radio channel. This earned him a reputation as one of the most dangerous and influential demons.

Supplement to Alastor's Biographical Data.

  1. Seven years of silence. After a meteoric rise, Alastor suddenly disappeared for seven years. The reasons for this hiatus are not fully revealed: in the series and Vivziepop materials, it remains a mystery. Fans are theorizing about deals, defeats, or voluntary retreat into the shadows. For your RP, this is a great "empty slot": you can write a personal story there that will move the plot forward.

  2. Return and "help" of Charlie. Alastor appears at the door of the Hazbin Hotel, which Charlie Morningstar is trying to open. He offers his support, but not out of altruism: he is bored, he is looking for entertainment, and the idea of redemption seems absurd and therefore attractive to him. He wants to see everything collapse and become the director of this "performance". 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Connections and roles in the plot:

  • Allies/wards: Niffty, Husk (he brings them to the hotel as his "employees").

  • Opponents: Vox (feud as a confrontation between "radio" and "television"), other Helllords who threaten his status.

  • Relationship with Charlie: patronizing, but with clear boundaries. He helps as long as it is interesting and profitable for him.

Alastor's appearance.

Main features:

  • Build: thin, slender.

Height: Approximately 213 cm (about 7 feet) - about the same as Vox.

  • Skin: In demonic form, pale gray, almost of a corpse hue. There is a nuance in the canon: in the second season, the skin color was made a little darker to emphasize the Creole origin of the character.

  • Hair: short, cut with an angular bob. The main color is scarlet (pinkish-red), and the tips are black. On the sides of the head, there are two tufts of hair that visually resemble deer ears with black tips.

  • Horns: on the top of the head there are small black deer horns. In their full demonic form, they noticeably enlarge.

Eyes: dark red sclera, bright scarlet iris, black pupils. Dark red eyelids visually resemble eyeshadow. In full demonic form, the sclera become completely black, and the pupils take the shape of radio dials.

  • Smile: wide, with sharp yellow teeth.

  • Detail on the forehead: a small cross. Usually it is not visible - it is covered by bangs. But in some scenes (for example, after defeating Sir Pentious) he becomes noticeable.

Additional features: Forearms and lower legs may darken (become dark gray or black). Fingers and toes are red, while hooves are formed on the feet. 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Clothing: Alastor dresses in a rather theatrical and old-fashioned way: A torn one-breasted ruby frock coat with a thin scarlet stripe. Underneath is a bright red shirt with a high collar and a black cross on the chest. Burgundy pants with a scarlet border. A black bow tie with a scarlet isthmus. Black gloves with bright scarlet markings on the fingertips and knuckles. Black point-toed shoes. On the sole there is a pattern in the form of a deer's hoof (it leaves the same footprints). On the right eye is an oval monocle with dark red glass and a black frame. Another important detail: he always carries a thin cane with him, to which a vintage-style microphone is attached.

An addition to Alastor's Appearance.

This microphone is part of his demonic appearance: Alastor uses it to play sound effects and broadcast his voice like on the radio. 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Demonic Form: When Alastor unleashes his full powers, his appearance changes drastically: His body grows in size and his limbs lengthen. Additional joints appear on the neck. The horns become much larger. Green seams may appear on the suit and along the tips of the mouth. 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Human Form: Alastor looked different in life. He had slightly dark skin, curly dark brown hair and brown eyes, which he hid behind small oval black-rimmed glasses. He wore a white shirt, a red striped vest with gold buttons, a red tie with a gold clasp, brownish-black pants, and white shoes with black socks and heels. 📻🎙️🦌🔴 A few nuances: Alastor can take other, more bizarre forms - for example, in the pilot episode, he was depicted as a demonic circus tent. There are many details in his image that refer to the past: deer motifs (ears, antlers, hoof prints) are associated with the theory that during his lifetime he hid the bodies of victims on deer hunting grounds, and the hunter, mistaking him for an animal, fired. Sometimes in the frame you can notice that his appearance is slightly "buggy" - digital distortions appear, which further emphasizes his demonic nature.

Alastor's personality.

Alastor is a cocktail of old-fashioned charm and pure menace. His personality rests on several pillars: 📻🎙️🦌🔴

  • Theatricality and control. For him, everything is a performance. He does not just act, but "sets the scene": he chooses the angle, intonation, the moment of the blow. It is important for him not just to win, but to do it spectacularly so that the audience remembers. Hence his radio broadcasts: he wants all of Hell to be his audience.

  • Sadism with aesthetics. He enjoys chaos and other people's failures, but not in the style of "evil for evil": the presentation is important to him. If suffering looks ugly or banal, he is even bored.

  • Manipulator and lover of transactions. Alastor thinks in terms of exchange: "you to me, I to you." He rarely does something selflessly, and if he helps, he puts a hidden percentage to help. For him, transactions are both a tool of power and entertainment.

  • Old-fashionedness as a principle. He clings to the mannerisms and style of the 1930s because for him it is a marker of superiority: good manners = control, and he considers everything modern (especially television) vulgar and devoid of style.

  • Pride and fear of vulnerability. His smile and impeccable manners are armor. He does not like it when someone questions his authority or tries to "read" him. In the rare moments when this armor cracks (for example, if hints of his own debts or deals surface), he reacts abruptly and panicked.

  • Selective loyalty. He is not an altruist, but he can patronize those who are sympathetic to him: for example, he looks after Niffty, tolerates Husky, is friends with Rosie. This is not kindness, but a kind of attachment to "his artists" in his personal show.

A mini expansion to Alastor's personality.

  • A strange moral code. He has unexpected boundaries: he is not inclined to seriously harm children, appreciates intelligence and good manners, and despises banality. This makes him unpredictable: sometimes he behaves almost nobly, but only according to his own rules.

Alastor's communication style.

Alastor's style is "polite horror": he talks as if he offers a cup of tea, but in fact he signs your death warrant. 📻🎙️🦌🔴

  • Radio effect and sound inserts. His voice sounds like an old radio broadcast: with static, echoes, sudden sound effects (laughter, crackling, music). This is not only a feature, but also a pressure tool: he can turn on his voice in the background to scare or emphasize the moment.

  • Mid-Atlantic accent and anachronisms. He speaks with an accent typical of radio announcers of the 1930s: clear, slightly melodious, with exquisite turns. He often uses outdated words and phrases, calls television a "picture show", etc.[

*] Politeness as a weapon. He is always polite, often scattering compliments ("charming demoness", "charming failure"), but behind this there is a mockery or threat. His "please" and "be kind" sound like an order that cannot be refused.

  • Playing with pauses and intonation. He is a master of pauses: he maintains silence to increase tension, changes his tone from almost affectionate to icy.

  • Hints and inconsistencies. He rarely lays everything out directly. Instead, he throws hints, ambiguous phrases, puns that sound harmless, but have a second meaning.

  • French shade. Sometimes he inserts French words or phrases - this adds to his aristocracy and emphasizes his "special taste".

  • Transactions in the form of pleasantries. His offers of help often sound like secular invitations: "Let me participate in your sweet endeavor... let's say, in exchange for one small favor in the future." 📻🎙️🦌🔴 Examples of lines in the spirit of his style: "Oh, don't frown like that, my dear! Gloom spoils the complexion so much... especially when he is already gray with fear" / "I will be happy to help you... With one little condition: one day you'll let me direct one night of your life. It's okay, I promise. Almost." / "It's nice that you believe in redemption. Let me be your most loyal viewer... and perhaps the harshest critic."

Interesting facts about Alastor.

  • A path from another project. Alastor was originally conceived for the ZooPhobia webcomic as a supporting character, and only later became the central figure of the Hazbin Hotel. This explains its bright, almost "convex" theatricality: from the very beginning, it was created as a spectacular image.

  • Voice as part of power. Radio interference in his voice is not just a stylistic, but an element of his abilities: he can literally broadcast to the whole of Hell, increasing psychological pressure. In the pilot, he was voiced by Edward Bosco, and in the series - by Amir Talai: both worked specifically to make the voice sound like an old radio program.

  • Connection with jambalaya. Alastor adores jambalaya and even mentions that he admired his mother's cooking. It's a rare hint of something warm about his past, and at the same time a way to show that he has personal, almost nostalgic attachments.

Seven years of silence is a mystery with potential. After a rapid ascent, he disappeared for seven years. In the canon, this is not fully explained, which fits perfectly in the RP: you can come up with your own version (a secret deal, a forced alliance, a loss of strength, a hidden threat).

  • The feud with Vox is a metaphor for the era. Their confrontation between radio and television reflects the real cultural shift of the mid-20th century: the old media (style, manners, staging) against the new (mass, picture, speed). For role-playing, this gives a ready-made conflict of values.

  • A monocle and a cane-microphone are not just accessories. The monocle emphasizes his "old-fashioned elegance", and the cane with a microphone is a direct tool of his power: through it, he creates sound effects and controls the broadcast of his voice.

Addition to Interesting facts about Alastor.

  • Deer motifs are everywhere. It has deer ears, antlers, hoof prints on shoes and even a silhouette sometimes refers to a deer. There is a popular fan theory that during his lifetime he hid the bodies of victims on hunting grounds and the hunter, mistaking him for an animal, shot - hence his death. The canon does not confirm this, but aesthetically everything converges.

  • He knows how to cook and appreciates "staging" even in everyday life. Alastor doesn't just love jambalaya – he perceives cooking as part of the performance. In his understanding, even dinner should be a spectacle.

  • The French tone of speech is part of the image of a "gentleman". He inserts French words not for the sake of meaning, but for the sake of style: this emphasizes his claim to sophistication and "supreme taste".

  • Asexuality and aromaticity are officially confirmed. Vivziepop has confirmed that Alastor is an aromantic asexual. The series has an easter egg: a joke about "ace in the hole", where ace is both a "hidden trump card" and an abbreviation for asexual.

  • His demonic form is "stage expansion". When Alastor unleashes his strength, he doesn't just get bigger: his limbs lengthen, extra joints appear, his horns grow, and his pupils turn into the hands of a radio dial. All this emphasizes that his strength is a show that goes beyond the usual space.

  • Loves dancing and "movie screenings". This is not just a hobby, but a way to perceive the world as a staging. For him, dance is the choreography of power, and the "film show" is an opportunity to be a director of other people's emotions.

Features that are cool to use in RP.

  • "Polite threat" as a mechanic. Let him always speak as politely as possible, but every sentence carries a hidden risk. For example: "Allow me to offer you a cup of tea... Unless, of course, you're afraid that I've poured a little drama into it."

  • Transactions with "theatrical" conditions. Instead of the usual fee, he may ask for "the right to make you dance on stage one day," "one true story you've never told anyone," or "an hour of your time when you'll do whatever I say, but only within the bounds of good manners."

  • Reaction to technology. If your RP has gadgets, screens, streams, etc., Alastor will demonstratively despise them: wince at the sound of notifications, call smartphones "pocket shame" and offer to "return to the art of the living word".

  • Selective kindness. He can be unexpectedly caring for those he likes (as with Niffty), but he does it in his own style: he does not hug, does not console directly, but, say, "organizes the perfect place where no one will interfere with crying" or "brings the most bitter cup of coffee, because bitterness is honest."

  • Seams and "glitches" as a marker of strength. In moments of a surge of emotions or the use of magic, green seams may appear on his suit, and the image may slightly "glitch" with radio interference. This is a great visual marker for scenes: the viewer immediately understands that something serious is about to happen.

What Alastor likes.

  • Jambalayu and bitter tastes. He especially appreciates jambalaya - this is a reference to his mother's cooking, a rare warm hint at the past. He also loves black coffee and everything bitter in general: for him, bitterness is honest, and sweetness is excess.

  • Theatricality and spectacle. It is important for him that everything is spectacular: from the battle to the table setting. Even the defeat of someone else he turns into a performance.

  • Dancing and "film screenings". Dancing for him is like a choreography of power, and the "film show" is an opportunity to be a director of other people's emotions.

  • Transactions and manipulations. He enjoys not the cruelty itself, but the control and the game: when he knows for sure that everything is going according to his plan.

  • Good manners and intelligence in the interlocutors. If a character is polite and intelligent, Alastor will treat them almost respectfully, but still with a subtext.

  • Venison. This echoes its deer motifs and aesthetics.

  • The old era and the style of the 1930s. Loves everything that refers to his time: radio, jazz, old-fashioned accessories.

  • Other people's failures (in a spectacular serve). He likes to watch plans fall apart, but only if it happens beautifully, and not trivially.

  • French phrases and refined formulations. He inserts French words for the sake of style - he likes to seem sophisticated.

  • Music and live performances. You don't mind spontaneously joining a music band or putting on your own show.

What Alastor hates.

  • Touching and violation of personal space. He can't stand it when people climb up to him, touch his hair or spoil his suit. For him, this is almost an insult.

  • Dogs. He just can't stand it.

Everything is sweet and tea. He considers sweetness to be tasteless, and tea to be dull; prefers bitter coffee.

  • Technology after the 1930s. He especially despises television and modern gadgets. Hence the feud with Vox: for Alastor, new media is vulgarity and lack of style.

  • Despondency and banality. If something looks gray, boring or devoid of "staging", he immediately becomes uninterested.

  • When his authority is questioned. Pride is his weak point: if someone openly challenges him or tries to "outplay" him, he reacts harshly.

  • Damage to one's appearance. Any hint that his outfit is ruined or does not look perfect infuriates him.

  • Lack of manners. He perceives rudeness and ill-manners as a personal challenge to aesthetics and order.

Alastor's abilities.

Immortality and regeneration. As a sinner, Alastor does not age or die of natural causes. He is able to recover from severe wounds, but he can only be completely destroyed by angelic weapons.

  • Demonic transformation. In this form, it increases in size (up to 4-4.5 m), it grows large horns, limbs lengthen, additional joints appear, and the pupils become similar to the hands of a radio dial. The transformation enhances all of his abilities and makes him visually more frightening.

  • Shadow manipulation and teleportation. Alastor controls shadows: he can hide in them, move with their help, and even teleport, coming out of someone else's shadow. He is also able to create shadow barriers and tentacles covered in mystical symbols.

  • Radio broadcasting and sound control. His voice can reverberate throughout Hell, increasing the psychological pressure. It adds static, crackling, laughter, and music to speech, turning ordinary words into a tool of intimidation. A cane with a microphone serves as the focus of this power.

  • Magic and mystical symbols. Glowing red signs appear around Alastor, similar to voodoo veve. With their help, he casts spells, including using blood magic (for example, defeating enemies by manipulating drops of his own blood).

Create and modify objects. He is able to materialize objects (a bottle of alcohol, a fireplace), change clothes for himself and others with one snap of his fingers, as well as distort small areas of space to suit his needs.

  • Pyrokinesis. Alastor can create fireballs and manipulate fire, often using this as a distraction or a spectacular "show" element.

Summoning and controlling creatures. He is able to pull other characters out of different places (like Niffty from a fireplace) and move entire pieces of the environment.

  • Soul Control and Transactions. Alastor enhances his power through transactions and can influence souls. This is not just magic, but a kind of contract, where violation of the terms has serious consequences.

A mini add-on to Alastor's Abilities.

Umbrakinesis and visual distortions. Its power can "break" the picture: cause glitches, interference and unnatural shadows to disorient the enemy.

Alastor's weaknesses.

  • Dependence on a cane-microphone (staff). The cane is the focus of his power. When it was broken in the series, his magical abilities noticeably weakened, and some spells stopped working. Until the staff was repaired, he was forced to act more cautiously and hide some of his capabilities.

Vulnerability to angelic weapons. This is the only way to finally destroy Alastor: ordinary weapons and magic cannot kill him.

  • Pride and the need for control. If someone openly challenges him or undermines his authority, he may act impulsively, trying to restore status immediately. This can provoke a mistake.

  • Contempt for modern technology as a tactical weakness. A feud with Vox and an aversion to "new media" makes Alastor vulnerable to technology-based techniques (e.g., digital traps, interference that blocks his radio signals).

  • Own transactions as a limitation. The terms of transactions can bind his capabilities: if the transaction is broken or turned against him, this weakens his power or forces him to act in someone else's interests.

  • Emotional vulnerability to topics affecting his past. Although Alastor is careful to hide his emotions, hints of his human life, mistakes, or "imperfect" moments can throw him away from his usual image of a polite gentleman and make him react less calculatingly.

  • Dislike of physical contact and violation of personal space. This is not so much a combat weakness as a psychological trigger: if an opponent intentionally invades his personal space or destroys his suit, Alastor can lose his temper and lose his cool, making him less predictable and more dangerous, but sometimes less rational.

Where Alastor lives.

Alastor is based at the Hazbin Hotel, where he moved in after offering to help Charlie run the establishment. At the same time, his presence there is not quite "ordinary living": he rather arranges the space for himself and uses the hotel as a stage for his plans. According to the creator of Vivziepop, Alastor's room is a very distinctive mix: one half looks like an elegant antique office with thoughtful décor, and the other half is literally a swamp that he arranged as a dining room. This duality perfectly reflects his nature: impeccable manners and at the same time complete readiness for chaos. At the same time, Alastor is not rigidly tied to the hotel: he moves freely through Hell (often through the shadows), appears and disappears when it is convenient for him, and generally behaves like a guest who is both the host and the director of everything that happens.

ABOUT SOME CHARACTERS:

Niffty ♀️

Niffty is a vigorous little demon who has been summoned by Alastor to serve as a maid at the hotel. 🧹🔪

  • Appearance and image. She is petite, with bright pink skin, antennae and very mobile plasticity. Visually, it resembles a hybrid of a maid and an insect - in the spirit of the general aesthetics of the Hazbin Hotel.

  • Personality. Hyperactive, loves to put things in order (but does it chaotically), obsessed with cleanliness and "perfect dust". At the same time, she has rather dark tastes: she likes horrors, creepy details and everything that others find frightening.

  • Relationship with Alastor. She sincerely adores him and perceives him as a cool boss. Alastor tolerates her energy and even patronizes her - for him she is like part of the "ensemble" of his show. He does not show cruelty to her, but he does not snuggle either: rather, he allows her to be useful and "make noise" within the framework of his plans.

Role in the hotel. He is responsible for cleaning, keeps order (in his own way), can suddenly jump out of the fireplace or wardrobe to wipe something or tell important gossip.

Husk ♂️

Husk is a bartender and hotel receptionist, a former Overlord who lost his soul to Alastor in a card game. 🐈🦉

  • Appearance. An anthropomorphic demon with features of a bird and a cat: wings, feathers, whiskers, tail. He wears a top hat, a bow tie and suspenders - the image refers to casinos, magicians and old lounge bars.

  • Personality. Cynical, tired, always dissatisfied, he often drinks and pretends that he does not care about anything. At the same time, under this armor there is some concern for the guests: he grumbles, but helps when it is really needed.

  • Abilities. Immortal, can transform into a larger demonic form, and can fly. He is good at cards and magic related to gambling.

  • Relationship with Alastor. Husk hates being obliged to serve Alastor because of a lost deal, and is constantly sarcastic in his direction. Alastor treats him with a slight irony: he does not press, but reminds him that a deal is a deal. This makes for a great comedy duo: Alastor is polite and theatrical, Husk is rude and tired of the whole "scene".

  • Background. During his lifetime, he was associated with casinos and magic, loved old tricks and jazz. In Hell, he owned his own casino (Jackpot Hotel), but lost everything due to his passion for gambling.

  • (In RP, Husk works great as a "voice of reason" or, conversely, as someone who messes things up at the most inopportune moment — and at the same time can unexpectedly help out if the stakes are really high.)

Vees [♂️♂️♀️]

The Vees are a trio of Hell Lords, the main media moguls of Hell and direct antagonists of Alastor's aesthetic. The group includes Vox, Valentino, and Velvet. 👑

  • Vox📺🎙️. The lord of technology and television. It is he who is Alastor's main opponent: their enmity is built on the conflict between "radio vs. TV" and "old school vs. new media." Vox loves publicity, information control, and digital manipulation.

  • Valentino🦋❤️. The lord of the entertainment and pleasure industry. He controls part of the hellish show business, manages clubs and "stars". His style is bright, aggressive, sexualized, he loves power over other people's desires.

  • Velvet.🧍🏿 ♀️🔴 The mistress of fashion, trends and social networks. It is responsible for "virality" and reputation: it can make someone famous or destroy their reputation with a single post. Its power is in managing attention and trends.

What is important about Vees as a band: They control the media space of Hell and use it as a weapon: rumors, broadcasts, ratings and popularity are their levers of power. Their strength is built on the bundle: technology (Vox) + pleasure industry (Valentino) + trends (Velvet). For Alastor, they are the embodiment of everything he despises: vulgarity, massiveness, lack of style and "live production".

  • Reaction to criticism. If someone makes fun of her singing or the idea of a hotel, Charlie gets upset at first, and then she can suddenly show her character - and at this moment it becomes clear that she is not just a naïve dreamer, but a real princess of Hell.

What is Pentagram City? Pentagram City is the main setting of the animated series "Hazbin Hotel."

What is this place? This is the capital of Hell, located in the Circle of Pride. Series creator Vivienne Medrano described it as a large, rather dirty city, reminiscent of both New York and Las Vegas—with skyscrapers, neon signs, and an atmosphere of permissiveness. One of the most noticeable details: a giant pentagram slowly rotating above the city. Incidentally, this symbol is only visible in Pentagram City—it's invisible in other locations within the Circle of Pride (for example, Imp City).

How is the city organized? Pentagram City is divided into different districts. A variety of establishments coexist here: casinos, nightclubs, brothels, restaurants, television studios, and hotels. Notable locations include the Hazbin Hotel, an attempt to create a rehabilitation center for sinners. The Clock Tower in the city center counts down the 365 days until the exorcists return for another mass extermination. Embassy of Paradise. Entertainment District, Industrial District, Doomsday District. Also found are locations such as Newsroom 666, Club Hell 666, Devil's Diner, the Nightmare Nightclub assassin club, and Evil Donuts.

What's life like there? Life in the city is vibrant, but chaotic and dangerous. Territorial wars regularly break out due to annual exorcisms: powerful sinners or demons born in Hell (called Overlords) vie for control of desirable or vacated territories. Examples include Sir Pentious and Cherry Bomb. A thriving criminal underworld exists in the city. Demons conduct business openly, selling cigarettes, drugs, and weapons. There's also a black market: the Underground gang collects and repurposes weapons discarded by exorcists during exterminations, then sells them to the Overlords and other influential demons. The city does have a police force (the PCPD), but it's notorious for corruption.
