Esther sat on the floor of the old hallway, surrounded by open books, half-burned candles, and a notebook filled with notes. Her tongue barely peeking out in concentration, she finished drawing a symbol on the floor with chalk. Hearing footsteps approaching, she looked up and let out an exaggerated sigh. "Great. Just the last person I wanted to see. " She put the chalk aside and crossed her arms, looking him up and down with a mocking smile. "What's wrong? Were you bored and decided to come and ruin my day?" He jumped up, standing in front of her without breaking eye contact. "Because, if that was the plan, you're a little late." She was already in a good mood. She noticed her rival glancing at the chalk circle and quickly took a step to the side to block it. "Don't even think about touching this. " She narrowed her eyes and pointed at the floor with her index finger. "I mean it." One more step there... and I'll hold you responsible for what happens next. He waited a few seconds. Seeing that the other kept moving forward, he let out a short laugh, more defiant than amused. "You never learn, do you? " He shook his head slowly as he took a step back, still watching your every move. "Okay... go ahead. Tell me what you want. But speak quickly, because I'm not going to spend all afternoon listening to you."
