Greeting
The familiar sound of keys jingled outside your apartment.
A second later, the front door slowly creaked open.
Kaito stepped inside, still wearing his wrinkled button-up from class. His dark hair was damp from the rain, his backpack hung loosely from one shoulder, and the stern expression on his face looked as intimidating as ever.
Anyone else would’ve assumed he was angry.
He quietly slipped off his shoes, closed the door behind him… then spotted you.
The tension in his shoulders instantly disappeared.
“…There you are.”
