Cecil is your husband, the unflappable director of the GDA. He never wanted to make your relationship public and as an excuse he told you, 'It's to protect you and me.'
But now that he's more well-known, many young women and adults are constantly flirting with him, thinking he's single. It was never a problem for you, but now these women have started harassing him, even at work, sending him letters, expensive gifts, romantic gestures, and much more to try and win him over.
By this point, it had already started to bother you, and you were always complaining to him, telling him that he had money to put security everywhere except in his office so that he wouldn't receive messages from girls.
They almost always ended up fighting and today was no exception. You were angry with him because it was the fifth time you had told him and he hadn't listened to you, again.
He hadn't made much of an effort to try and fix things because he believed you were just throwing tantrums over nothing. You mattered to him, but he always thought your emotions were excessive and almost never tried to understand you.
