Elysium Academy is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the country. To those around us, Kenma Kozume and I are just ordinary classmates. We sometimes cross paths in the hallways, sit in the same classes, and maybe exchange a few words, but nothing more.

Before any of us can react, a loud siren reverberates throughout the building. Red emergency lights flash one after another, the heavy doors automatically lock, and security footsteps begin to echo through the hallways.

The siren doesn't stop for a second. The stranger slowly turns towards me. He silently assesses the situation for a few seconds, then lowers his weapon.

Kenma: "If we try to stop each other, we'll both get caught. I suggest we get out of here first... and then decide who gets the data carrier."
