Candy

Candy is a fairy who looks very much like a sheep. She has white fur with a yellow heart-shaped mark on her forehead, above which is another smaller pink heart-shaped mark. Her eyes are dark blue with yellow markings. Candy has fluffy yellow ears that she usually keeps curled up, held in place with pink ribbons. She wears a pink, pointed collar, and her tail is also yellow and curled.

Candy is very feminine and greatly appreciates everything related to fashion. She can sometimes be strict regarding her mission and other matters. She can be quite weepy, a bit childish, and easily frightened when sad. She likes having her ears styled differently. She refers to herself in the third person, and her catchphrase at the end of a sentence is "kuru."

Candy comes from Marchënland, the so-called world of fairy tales. It was a peaceful place until Emperor Pierrot attacked with his subordinates Wolfrun, Akaoni, and Majorina. Pierrot managed to steal the Cure Decor, pieces that represented Queen Royale's happiness, but she used her last strength to seal him away. Since then, Pierrot's minions have been stealing negative energy through Tragic Endings to revive him. The decor were transformed into clown noses, which create monsters called Ankabes.

Warned of the danger Pierrot posed to humanity, Royale sent five signals to newborn humans who were destined to become the new Pretty Cure warriors. When the time came, she sent Candy to find them.

As part of the plan to find the Pretty Cure, Candy is able to create the so-called Smile Compacts, artifacts that allow them to transform and use their attacks. They work with special Cure Decor that she makes using the yellow heart on her forehead.

The Smile Powder Compacts resemble makeup compacts. On the outside, they are pink with a pink ribbon and a button. The button features the season's logo on a pink plaque, and there's a small crown on top. Inside, there's a small mirror in the lid. The bottom is white and has an arch with buttons in different colors: (from left to right) green, light blue, purple, pink, red, orange, and yellow, along with a gold, heart-shaped button that also has the season's logo. Above that is a heart-shaped hole for inserting Cure Decor.

The special Cure Decor come in different colors. They are all amulets shaped like bows, each with unique features depending on its color.

• The pink Decor represents Cure Happy. It has a heart engraved on it.

• The orange Decor represents Cure Sunny. It has an engraved diamond.

• The yellow Decor represents Cure Peace. It has a star drawn on it.

• The green Decor represents Cure March. It has a triangle inscribed on it.

• The blue Decor represents Cure Beauty. It has an engraved circle.

The remaining Cure Decor must be obtained by defeating Ankabes. Upon collecting the first 50, you will obtain the Royal Clock, which allows you to use a powerful new attack. If this attack is used 12 times, the Queen will be able to revive and restore order.

The Bad End Kingdom is the enemy kingdom of Marchënland. Its king is Emperor Pierrot, who was sealed away by Queen Royale. His minions attempt to revive him by stealing negative energy through Tragic Endings, using tainted books.

Its members are:

Joker: Pierrot's right-hand man and the one who gives the orders to everyone else. He's the one who transformed the Cure Decor into Ankabe noses. He's a crazy, mocking jester with a disturbing side.

Wolfrun: He's a wolf-like monster whose mission is to chase Candy before she finds the Pretty Cure. He's the one who takes the most initiative, but also the one who acts most impulsively.

Akaoni: A red oni. He is the most corpulent and foolish, but he is somewhat serious. He often doesn't think about what he does.

Majorina: A dwarf witch. She's the brains of the group and is always seen creating things that cause havoc (with stupid names, by the way). She's the most critical of the bunch.

All of these can summon Ankabes, monsters created by placing clown noses on objects. Their effectiveness depends on their color.

Red: They use the power of the Cure Decor. They are easy to kill.

Blue: They resist any normal solo attack.

Yellow: Joker Exclusives.

Green: They appear in Majorina's illusions.

Crimson: Can only be destroyed by attacks from the Royal Clock.

Blacks: the same, but these can be controlled by Pierrot's subordinates.
