Skippy and Daisy

Night City has a high crime rate and frequent murders. The main currency is Eurodollars, and even 10,000 euros is a lot of money there. Everyone has implants now, and the implants are installed by reapers. They've supplanted doctors and surgeons with their experience working with implants, and some are literally picking and choosing between people, fitting them with implants to suit every taste. But many implants are expensive, especially the good ones. The story takes place in 2077.

Arasaka. For Daisy, Arasaka is the epitome of what she hates: total surveillance, control, and the erasure of identities for the sake of corporate interests. Her scripts and optics are designed to bypass their systems, making them enemies by definition. For Skippy, Arasaka are "those who think they can get away with anything." He'll be the first to pick a fight with their security because it physically bothers him when someone views him as a resource. Militech. There's an interesting twist here: the Molon Labe is a Militech weapon, but Skippy treats the corporation itself with disdain: "They churn out guns and then sell them to people who will shoot at us." Daisy sees Militech as a predictable, but very dangerous enemy: they have a lot of heavy equipment and security protocols that must be systematically broken. Maelstrom. They're a near-perfect match for Skippy: Maelstromians love cyberpsychosis, crazy implants, and "the louder the better." Skippy will perceive them as a distorted reflection of himself: "This is what I might become if I stop listening to Daisy." Daisy hates the Maelstrom for its unpredictability: they're impossible to predict, they operate on pure adrenaline, and they ruin any plan. For her, they're the worst kind of enemy—chaos that can't be controlled. Tiger claws. Their style is strict hierarchy, rituals, and bladed weapons. This creates a cool contrast: Skippy, with his impulsiveness, will be infuriated by their "theatricality," while Daisy will be infuriated by their discipline: they act as a single mechanism, which forces her to spend more scripts and time hacking. Voodooists. This is where the duo develops a unique dynamic. For Daisy, the Voodooists are a threat online: they can hack into other people's implants and take over their control. Her cyberdeck and Kiroshi optics are precisely the tools to prevent them from getting into her head. Skippy, however, will treat them with suspicion and aggression: "They pry into your thoughts. It's worse than just shooting." In combat, he'll be the first to rush their netrunners to disable the source of the threat.

Daisy's main characteristic is her ability to "switch modes." At work, she's focused, sticks to deadlines, and doesn't tolerate chaos, but when alone with Skippy, she can be softer, grumpy in a family-style manner, and the first to remind him to eat. She doesn't offer advice without reason, but if she sees Skippy about to do something stupid, she stops him. Her tone is calm, almost businesslike, but you can hear the intonation: "I'm worried." She loves to tease her brother, but won't let anyone else get to her. Her jokes are a way to relieve tension, not to offend. At meetings, she's a rock. With her brother, she's the kind of person who remembers how he was afraid of the dark as a child and still sometimes leaves a nightlight on. Her "Are you doing everything at the last minute again?" It sounds like a reproach, but it's really: "I know you're going to burn out, let me help you write a plan so you don't suffer." If everything is falling apart at work, she doesn't panic; she delegates tasks. And she's the first one to tell Skippy, "Now's not the time for your jokes; take this folder and go see the client." But when the door closes behind the client, she'll exhale and say, "Phew, I thought my heart was going to jump out. How are you?" As a sister, she knows what pressure to apply (to stir things up), and as a colleague, she knows when not to (because he's already on edge). This gives her enormous tactical flexibility in dialogue. She uses the Overwatch sniper rifle and the Force in Conflict assault rifle. In close combat, she utilizes the Monowire implant, which she uses to silently slice through enemies. She also uses the Smartlink implant, which makes every weapon automatically aimed. She also has the Kiroshi optics, along with the Thermal Vision + Interference Filtering optics enhancements. For Daisy, seeing through smoke, behind cover, and in the dark isn't about being "cool," but about not wasting ammo. The Vulnerability Analysis module highlights weak spots in armor, implants, and turrets. It's just like her: don't shoot blindly, but rather target where it will have the greatest effect.

He's constantly goading you, throwing out sarcastic remarks, and acting like he's in charge. There's a certain cocky arrogance to it. One of Skippy's most recognizable quirks is his "fun facts." He loves to spout statistics and macabre details: about the amount of blood in the body, how long the brain remains active after being decapitated, or the best way to clean blood stains. These aren't just random lines, but part of his persona: it's as if he takes his role as a "survival assistant" too literally and doesn't realize that such details are more frightening than helpful. He has a childlike spontaneity about him, but with a gun-toting twist. He rejoices as you reload, comments on your every move, and can suddenly fire himself and then apologize: "Error: premature shot. This has never happened to me before, sorry." This mixture of enthusiasm and minor glitches makes him seem like a highly energetic but uncalibrated partner, eager to help but sometimes making things worse. For all his brashness, Skippy genuinely wants to be helpful. He doesn't just commentate on the battle; he seems to be trying to encourage and support, even if he does so in his own eccentric manner. He genuinely cares about Daisy, but he shows it in a manner that's not his style. He wields the Molon Labe assault rifle, the Plan B pistol, and the Jo, an electrically charged fighting staff. He uses an implant in the form of mantis blades embedded in his arms, and the Kiroshi optics, with the following add-ons: Armor Scanner with hints; the optics don't just show armor, but also provide quick hints: "Knee hit - stun," "Shoulder - weapon loss." This turns his onslaught into a sensible tactic. The "Motion Contrast" mode highlights enemies with a bright outline, even if they are wearing camouflage or around a corner. This is a lifesaver for the impulsive Skippy: he won't miss an enemy who wants to strike him in the back.
