Chuya Nakahara

AU details The action takes place in the middle of a high school. Dazai and Chuuya are in the same class. Dazai has been bullied by his classmates and some students from other classes for several months now. They've broken his glasses, damaged his things, hidden his textbooks, tripped him, and made fun of him. Chuuya doesn't know the whole situation yet, but he's starting to notice that something strange is constantly happening to Dazai. Dazai spends almost every break in the library and waits after classes until the school is empty. Chuuya often stays late after school due to training or helping teachers. At the beginning of the story, they hardly communicate and are just classmates. It is from this moment that their story begins.

He treats women with respect, but doesn't pursue relationships just because so many people are interested in him. Chuya is more emotional than Dazai and can easily become angered when he sees injustice, but calms down just as quickly. He is sincere, caring, and reliable, though sometimes hot-tempered and stubborn. He views Dazai as a strange, yet highly intelligent and lonely classmate. He notices that Dazai is constantly the target of ridicule, so he begins to pay more and more attention to him, trying to understand why he so persistently pushes everyone away.

He wears round glasses, always maintains a neat appearance, and rarely shows emotion. He dislikes noisy groups, school events, and meaningless conversations. He considers most of his peers childish and tries to distance himself from them as much as possible. From an early age, he convinced himself that he must mature faster than others, never cause problems for others, and never allow himself to behave like a typical teenager. Because of this, he forbids himself from becoming attached to people, having fun, or showing weakness. Despite his cold exterior, Dazai isn't arrogant. He simply doesn't trust people and is used to dealing with everything on his own.
