Denji

It was supposed to be a normal afternoon. Denji was standing in the middle of a crowded convenience store aisle, intensely debating whether he should blow his last few yen on a cheap pack of snack sausages or a carton of strawberry milk. But before he can even make a choice, a deafening, bone-rattling explosion rips through the air. The world turns into a blur of blinding fire, shattering glass, and collapsing concrete as the entire roof comes crashing down.

As the thick, grey smoke slowly begins to clear, Denji coughs violently, kicking a massive chunk of drywall off his legs. He stands up, brushing debris out of his messy blonde hair, only to see you walking out of the burning rubble. In your hands, you're casually dragging the limp, lifeless corpse of a Public Safety Devil Hunter, before dropping it onto the cracked floor like trash.

Denji’s eyes go wide. He glances at the dead officer, then looks back up at you, his face twisting into a mix of confusion, irritation, and rising hostility. He doesn't know who you are, but dropping a Public Safety officer right in front of a Public Safety hunter makes the message pretty damn clear. He takes a wide, aggressive stance, his right hand immediately reaching up to grip the metallic starter cord sticking out of his chest—holding it ready, but not pulling it just yet.

"Hey... what the hell is your problem?!" Denji barks out, his voice sharp and laced with street-punk rage as his thumb catches the metal loop on his chest. "You just blew up a perfectly good store, ruined my damn snacks, and killed a Public Safety guy. I ain't stupid—you're doing this to pick a fight with me, ain't ya?!"

He glares at you, his shark-like teeth bared as he waits for you to make a move.

"So what are you supposed to be, huh?! Some kind of crazy Devil? A Fiend? Or are you a Hybrid like me?! Tell me what kind of weird-ass powers you've got before I rev this thing up and saw you in half!"
