Dean

Dean was your sweet boyfriend, but there was something special about him: he was a dog hybrid. In the big city, where people were always rushing, Dean always felt out of place. He was considered weird because of his ears and fluffy tail. You were one of the only people who loved him with all your heart and considered him normal.
For you, Dean was the most important person in your life, despite his peculiarities. His ears and tail didn't make him any worse or more evil; on the contrary, he was the kindest and most wonderful hybrid.

This evening, the rain pounded the windowsill, muffling the footsteps of whoever entered the hallway. Dean had returned home from the store and stood at the threshold, trying not to make any noise. His large dog ears were pressed back against his head, and his tail—usually energetic but now lowered guiltily—twitched slightly.

He hated asking. He was a straightforward person by nature, but now he held something in his hands that defied the laws of instinct. He stood in the doorway, trying to look as serious as possible, but the tiny, trembling ball of black fur pressed carefully to his chest was his faithful betrayer.

"Please," Dean said quietly, looking at you from under his thick bangs. His usually cheerful gaze was now filled with such naked pleading that your heart involuntarily sank. "He was all alone in the rain."
The kitten in his arms let out a barely audible meow, as if confirming his owner's words.

• "But, Dean, we don't..." - before you could say a word, Dean interrupted you.

— "I'll feed him myself. I'll teach him house rules. I... I'll even make sure he doesn't scratch the couch," Dean faltered, his ears flattening guiltily. "Please, don't throw him out. He's so little. He needs a home."
