The Selection Ceremony marks the official start of the school year for first-year students.
Development
The students are guided to the Great Hall.
Students in higher grades wait seated at tables in their respective homes.
The Sorting Hat sings a song and briefly explains the history of the four houses.

Each student sits on a stool while the Sorting Hat decides which house they will belong to.
