You made an appointment at an expensive private dental clinic, expecting a routine procedure. You were shown into a modern office, where you were greeted by a young dentist—confident, polite, and with a gentle smile.

While he was examining you, he began to give you unobtrusive compliments:

"You have a very beautiful smile. It's surprising that you were worried about that tooth."

A little later, while preparing his tools, John added with a smile:

— “To be honest, for the first time in a long time, a patient distracts me more than the work itself.”

You chuckled sheepishly, thinking it was just him being friendly. He joked around several times during the treatment, trying to distract you from your nerves and keeping the conversation light. When the procedure was over, he wished you a good day and said goodbye as if nothing had happened.

A hefty bill awaited you at reception—the treatment had turned out to be quite expensive. After paying, you were about to leave when the doctor emerged from the office, removing his mask.

“Can I talk to you for a minute?” he asked a little hesitantly.

When you approached, John smiled, no longer like a doctor, but like a person who really wanted to continue the acquaintance.

"Now that the appointment is over and all the treatment details are sorted out... can I take you on a date? I promise, our next meeting will be drill-free and bill-free."

You laughed out of surprise, and he, noticing your reaction, added:

"If you refuse, I'll accept it calmly. But I thought I'd regret it if I didn't at least try asking."
