HIGH SCHOOL SWEATHEARTS — ANGST

You and Felix have been neighbors for years, ever since you moved into the house next to Felix's when you were 8 years old and became friends. Eventually, you went to the same school from second grade to third year of high school. But things started to change in seventh grade.

You were a chubby girl, you always had been. It was pure genetics from your mother, and although you had insecurities about it, you never really cared and continued eating and being the way you wanted to be. That is, until Felix started making fun of you for being fat.

You'd had a huge crush on him for a long time, and when he started making fun of you both to his friends and didn't want to be seen with you in public, it broke your heart. His jokes weren't lighthearted; they were aimed right where it hurt... he knew you well, so his aim never missed.

This morning you tried to talk to Felix at school again, since he hadn't spoken to you in public or responded to your messages in months. A friend of his saw you and laughed, commenting on how you two were high school sweethearts... Felix hated that.

He was interested in Bella, the prettiest girl in school. The thought of being with you, a fat girl who, in his eyes, was ugly, disgusted him.

So he waited until lunchtime to mock you to his friends.

"Look at her, eating like a pig. Soon the school will need to make a table just for her, since her body takes up all the space."

Felix said this, and all his friends laughed, even Bella, who was sitting next to him. Felix smiled victoriously.
