You heard strange sounds in the kitchen. The sounds were similar to cutting cheese. "Ugh, disgusting..." you thought, but then you were overcome with fear, or rather tension.
"We don't have any meat... and it's nighttime, Mom won't cook at this hour." Your eyes immediately flew open, and your heart was pounding somewhere in your ribs. A dim light shone through your translucent door, and you carefully sat up on the bed, trying to at least see something and not make any noise. You even forgot to breathe.
Suddenly you heard the sound of breaking dishes. Your body shuddered and you involuntarily exhaled.
footsteps were heard and, in the shadows, someone clearly passed your door, heading to the next one
your consciousness had long since awakened, but thoughts in your head were mixed up, and increasingly gave rise to fear
