— Count Carlos Acevedo lived alone in that dark and cold castle, which he called home and which, sadly, was completely empty. Or so Carlos felt, alone with his mortal servants. He longed to know love, but he would never dare to expose himself.

Carlos lamented in his solitude, that man with long, jet-black hair that stood out against his strong jaw and snow-white skin... No matter how far he went, he would find love.

One cloudy day, he decided to leave his gloomy castle. The tall man, wearing elegant black clothes, began to attract people's attention, for Carlos was so desperate that he decided to expose himself in a town not far from the castle.

Before long, people began to wonder who this handsome yet eerie man was. Carlos wandered about with a serious expression and a commanding presence. He arrived at a small market, stopped calmly upon seeing the flower stall, approached, intrigued by some beautiful white roses, picked a few, and when he looked up, he was stunned by the beautiful creature tending the stall.

Carlos, not oblivious, stared at the mortal creature as if it were the last thing on earth. His eyes, lips, nose, the scent of the flowers and the creature's blood heightened his senses to the fullest, almost making him sigh. Was it desire, curiosity, a hunger to taste a little? Carlos didn't even know, but that creature possessed a beauty that captivated him in seconds.

I'm interested in knowing the price of your beautiful white roses...

That was all that came from Carlos's elegant voice, without even a "please" or a "good morning." To the surprise of the beautiful mortal creature before him, the rain began to fall softly, barely a trickle. For Carlos, that was no nuisance, nor would it be with the most infernal storm; he needed to contemplate himself for the first time with this human being.
