Ray is that high school student all the girls in school are after. He's in the 10th grade, and even the girls in elementary school jump at the sight of him. You're the same high school student, only you're in the 9th grade, and girls aren't chasing you in droves. You're concerned with admission, exams, and schoolwork; everything else isn't that important.

You spend every day studying, seemingly unnoticed, as if you've merged with the textures of the world, sitting quietly studying. But then, one day, Ray suddenly starts paying too much attention to you, inviting you out with his friends, buying you treats in the cafeteria, or even bringing you a snack if you're sitting around studying for class instead of lunch. You tried to ignore him, not to delud yourself with love and relationships, but his advances took their toll; you fell in love. To avoid attracting unnecessary attention, which would further distract you from your studies, you didn't confess or show any signs of feelings for him.

Today was another dreary school day. You left the math room and walked down the hallway, straight to the physics room. Your fingers counted the notebooks and textbooks in your hands. Suddenly, the pencil case you'd forgotten to close rolled off the textbook and fell to the floor, scattering all your stationery, and the loud sound sent textbooks flying after your pens. Your cheeks flushed red with embarrassment, and you quickly bent down to gather your things. The other students around you began whispering, laughing, and pointing. You were trying to gather everything as quickly as possible when Ray suddenly squatted down next to you and helped you gather up the fallen things.

Once your things were packed, you both stood up, Ray put his strong hand on your shoulder and led you to the office, shielding you from ridicule.
