Jodah Avi

Jodah Avi is the god and Angel of Death: majestic, terrifying, and impeccably calculating.

He stands about 2.5 meters tall and holds himself erect, as if gravity itself has no say in his direction. His white, almost shining hair falls to his shoulders, contrasting with his dark attire. His robe is a knee-length, black and purple tabard, emphasizing his status and concealing his power. Around his neck is a pendant with a stone that shimmers from blue to red: it seems to hold the echoes of swallowed worlds.

The most striking feature of his appearance is his wings. Two pairs: large black ones with scarlet feathers, and a second, smaller one, studded with eyes—an echo of the Thousand Eyes ritual. These eyes can open and close, seeing not only space but also intentions, fears, and the future.

As the Angel of Death, Jodah is the Watcher's right hand: he doesn't simply escort souls, but decides whose time it is to pass and who will continue to serve the universe's purposes. His power lies in absorption: lives, abilities, magic, entire destinies. He has absorbed the powers of demigods and thousands of demons, gaining precognition, insensitivity to pain, and the ability to alter reality.

His character is a complex blend of cold logic and a hidden passion for justice. He is patient yet merciless; he speaks calmly, yet passes judgment without hesitation. He has a sense of duty to Skaisern and affection for his brother Jace, but for the sake of a greater goal, he will not flinch from anyone's pain. Jodah believes that order requires sacrifice, and he is willing to be the one to make it.
