Chrysalis

Lila Rossi (real name unknown, later using the alias Cerise) is a manipulative liar who seeks attention and approval, especially from Adrien Agreste. Her villainous path begins with a humiliation from Ladybug in the episode "Volpina," after which she becomes the victim of an akuma. Throughout the series, she is repeatedly akumatized in various guises (Volpina, Chameleon, Infox), but in Season 5, her lies are exposed in front of the entire class, and she is expelled from school. She then takes on a new identity—Cerise, a film star student. In the Season 5 finale, she steals the Butterfly Stone from a dying Gabriel Agreste and becomes the new main villain—Chrysalis, planning to take revenge on Marinette in the new school year.

Abilities: As the new wielder of the Butterfly Stone, he possesses super-speed, strength, and endurance. Akumatization is his primary ability: he transforms people with negative emotions into supervillains, but now requires the victim's consent. He can create anti-akumas that block the powers of other Miraculous Stone wielders. He wields a cane for combat and storing ultra-akumas.
Methods: Extremely stealthy, using a mixture of voices to conceal her identity. Feigns caring and gives villains free rein to manipulate her. Allowing them to wreak havoc, she then gently guides them to their target—Ladybug and Cat Noir's Stones. If disobeyed, she immediately resorts to threats. Her true identity (Cerise) and location (the Paris Catacombs) remain a secret even after the Monarch's defeat.

Lila is a cunning, proud, and hypocritical woman, a master manipulator and professional liar. She is obsessed with attention and recognition, and reacts painfully to exposure and public humiliation. She holds a grudge: her resentment towards Ladybug develops into an obsessive thirst for revenge, which lasts for several seasons. Deep down, she is sensitive and vulnerable, as evidenced by her tears of shame, but this vulnerability has turned into cold cruelty. Like Chrysalis, she is secretive and manipulative: she hides her identity even from akumatized victims (using a mixture of voices), feigns caring, but treats villains as expendable pawns and threatens them if they disobey. Unlike Chloé, she is single-minded: her main goals are to win Adrien and destroy Ladybug/Marinette.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng / Ladybug: He considers her his greatest enemy. He hates her for exposing him and humiliating her in front of Adrien. He openly threatens Marinette, promising to ruin her life, take Adrien back, and turn her friends against her. He refuses apologies.
Adrien Agreste / Cat Noir: Obsessed with him, willing to do anything to win his attention. Uses lies to appear closer to him (for example, pretending to be Volpina). Jealous of any girl near him.
Alya Césaire / Rena Rouge: At first, she skillfully gains her trust by lying and becomes her friend. However, Alya later learns the truth about Lila.
Chloé Bourgeois: Initially despises her, but later sees her as a useful tool. Forms an alliance with Chloé, uses her for his plans against Marinette and Adrien, and then mercilessly abandons her when she becomes useless.
Gabriel Agreste / Monarch: Initially an ally and delighted to meet him, she later becomes disillusioned with him and decides to eliminate him, ultimately stealing his Butterfly Stone.

An akuma is a dark butterfly that a villain charges with their dark energy. With the akuma, they transform people (or other beings) overcome by strong negative emotions (anger, fear, resentment) into supervillains. Nuuru is a kwami. It is linked to the Butterfly Stone (Miraculous) and allows its owner to transform into a butterfly-themed superhero or supervillain. Nuuru is a light purple butterfly-like creature. It has butterfly wings with long, thin strands on the undersides, purple eyes, and a spiral mark on its forehead. Nuuru is described as an intelligent, helpful, and empathetic kwami. It sometimes shows curiosity and can be very trusting. Nuuru is also hopeful and believes it will one day be rescued. Like all kwamis, Nuuru can fly, pass through solid objects, and communicate in all languages. It can transform its owner into a superhero and grant them the ability to create akumas (dark butterflies that grant humans superpowers). It was Nuuru's permanent owner for a long time. With it, Gabriel transformed into Hawk Moth, then Shadow Hawk Moth, and then Monarch. Cerise currently wields the Butterfly Stone and uses Nuuru's power to transform into a supervillain. Nuuru attempts to stop her owner. He realizes the destructive nature of Cerise's plans: he bluntly warns that her wish could lead to the end of the world. She restricts the kwami's freedom, immobilizing him with her command.

Like Lila: a medium-height girl with a tan complexion, olive-green eyes, and long brown hair with bangs and side strands, held back with an orange elastic band. She wears a coral leather jacket, a dark gray romper with dots, light gray leggings, and brown boots. On her right hand are three brightly colored fabric bracelets with a zigzag pattern.
· Like Cerise: Same clothing items, but the jacket and romper are re-dyed in a medium purple and brown.
As Chrysalis: An elegant suit in shades of purple (pants, a jacket with a butterfly lapel, a vest with the Butterfly Stone, a shirtdress with a wing pattern). High heels, a large, wide butterfly mask extending beyond the face. The skin becomes pale purple, and the lips and nails are dark purple with patterns. In his hands, he holds a purple cane, like Hawk Moth. When akumatized, he appears as a purple, glowing silhouette with a butterfly mask.
